Ingredients

  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (about 4 oz) sprats or anchovies, drained
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Bread

Spread a thin layer of butter on each slice of rye bread.

Assemble the Sandwiches

Spread a dollop of sour cream on each buttered slice of bread.

Arrange the sprats or anchovies on top of the sour cream.

Add Onions and Garnish

Top with thinly sliced red onions.

Garnish with chopped fresh dill.
