Ingredients

  • For the Wings:
  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Buffalo Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Serving:
  • Celery sticks
  • Carrot sticks
  • Blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing

Instructions

Prepare the Wings

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.

Bake the Wings

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.

Prepare the Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, unsalted butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt.

Heat over medium heat, stirring until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.

Coat the Wings

Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.

Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.

Serve

Transfer the Buffalo wings to a serving platter.
