Ingredients

  • 1 cup (100 g) sea grapes (Caulerpa lentillifera), cleaned
  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1-2 green chilies, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Sea Grapes

Rinse the sea grapes thoroughly under cold water to remove any sand or debris.

Soak the sea grapes in cold water for about 10 minutes to maintain their crisp texture. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Vegetables

Thinly slice the cucumber and red onion.

Chop the tomatoes and slice the green chilies if using.

Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, combine the coconut milk, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the sea grapes, sliced cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, and green chilies.

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Serve

Garnish the salad with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley.
