In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Gradually add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions, shape into balls, and brush with a little oil.
Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for at least 30 minutes.
In a large skillet, heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Add the ground beef or lamb, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Stir in the salt, black pepper, and ground paprika. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking sheet or round baking dish.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a very thin, large rectangle or circle.
Spread a portion of the meat filling evenly over the dough.
Carefully roll up the dough, enclosing the filling, to form a long log.
Starting from one end, coil the log into a spiral shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet or dish. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling, coiling each log around the previous one to form a large spiral.
Brush the top of the pita with melted butter or vegetable oil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pita is golden brown and crispy.
Let the pita cool slightly before slicing into wedges.
Enjoy your meal!
