Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated coconut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

Prepare the Batter

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Combine Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the grated coconut.

Pour and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve

Allow the fausi to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
