Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugar

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

Combine Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the coconut milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Pour and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve

Allow the fa'apapa to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
