Cut the breadfruit in half and remove the core and seeds. Peel the skin off the breadfruit and cut the flesh into bite-sized chunks.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the breadfruit chunks and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are tender but not mushy. Drain and set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked breadfruit chunks to the skillet and fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the breadfruit from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
