Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 cups cooked and cooled green beans
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup black olives (Niçoise or Kalamata), pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup canned tuna in olive oil, drained
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • For the Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Salad Ingredients

Arrange the salad greens on a large platter or individual plates.

Arrange the green beans, cherry tomatoes, olives, red onion, hard-boiled eggs, tuna, and capers on top of the greens in a decorative pattern.

Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Dress the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
