In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
Gradually add water, mixing continuously to form a dough. The dough should be smooth and pliable. Adjust the water as needed.
Transfer the dough to a large pot or saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously to prevent lumps and sticking.
Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the dough becomes thick and starts to pull away from the sides of the pot.
Once the dough has thickened, turn it out onto a flat surface. Allow it to cool slightly, then knead it gently to smooth it out.
Shape the dough into a round or oval loaf, or into smaller portions if preferred.
Serve the Bazeen warm, with a stew or sauce of your choice. Traditional Libyan stews, such as lamb or chicken stews, pair well with Bazeen.
Optional: You can drizzle a little vegetable oil over the Bazeen before serving if desired.Enjoy your meal!
