In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cardamom.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a smooth batter forms.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan or traditional round tray.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced almonds or pistachios on top.
Bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
