Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1/2 lb (225 g) ground pork
  • 1 large onion, finely grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cold water (adjust as needed)

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.

Add the finely grated onion, minced garlic, paprika, ground cumin, dried thyme, baking soda, salt, and black pepper.

Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

Gradually add cold water to the mixture, stirring until the mixture becomes slightly sticky and cohesive.

Shape the Kebapche

Divide the meat mixture into 8-10 portions.

Shape each portion into a cylindrical or oval shape, about 4-5 inches long.

Grill the Kebapche

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Place the kebapche on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
